Zelensky sets goal of 1,000 daily long-range drone strikes on Russia
Ukraine's president wants to more than triple his country's long-range drone campaign against Russia, from an average of over 300 strikes a day to 1,000. The push follows a fresh strike on one of Russia's largest oil refineries in Yaroslavl.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has set a new target for the country's long-range drone campaign: 1,000 strikes on Russia a day, up from a current average of just over 300. The announcement follows a strike on the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl, one of Russia's largest, located roughly 1,000 kilometers from the front line, and reported damage to a Tu-95 bomber at the Engels air base. Zelensky says the deep-strike campaign is already squeezing Russia's fuel supply and export revenue.
