Russia's Ryazan region was hit by a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack early Wednesday morning, regional governor Pavel Malkov said, with air defense systems engaged and six people hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Malkov did not identify which facilities were struck, but residents and open-source monitoring channels reported fires at the Ryazan Oil Refinery, one of Russia's largest, and at a Wildberries warehouse complex, according to Kyiv Independent, which said it could not independently verify the reports at time of publication. The Ryazan refinery, owned by Rosneft, processes about 17.1 million tons of oil a year, roughly 5% of Russia's total refining capacity, and briefly halted output after a Ukrainian strike in May contributed to a nationwide fuel shortage. Wildberries, which handles close to half of Russia's online retail volume and has drawn Ukrainian strikes for selling dual-use military gear, said access to its Ryazan warehouse is now temporarily restricted. The attack is part of a campaign that has repeatedly targeted Wildberries facilities over the past week.
