Ukrainian drone strikes have destroyed more than a quarter of Wildberries' warehouse capacity in Russia
Since July 18, Ukrainian drone strikes have knocked out more than a quarter of the warehouse capacity of Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, per The Moscow Times and Kyiv Post.
Ukrainian drones have struck about twenty Wildberries logistics hubs across Russia since the campaign began on July 18, according to Russian media reports cited by Kyiv Post. At least fourteen warehouses have burned, with more than 1.5 million square meters of storage space knocked out, roughly 27% of the company's total warehouse capacity. Market sources cited by The Bell estimate Wildberries' direct losses at up to $2.2 billion, and say the company may need up to $14.4 billion in additional funding. Forbes Russia separately estimated that Wildberries sellers could lose up to $3.44 billion in destroyed inventory. Wildberries, often described as Russia's Amazon, is privately held.
