Ukraine strikes two Bashneft refineries in Ufa and Krasnodar oil depot in deep long-range raids

Russia's fuel-processing sites came under long-range drone strikes overnight. According to Interfax-Ukraine and the Kyiv Independent, Ukraine's Security Service targeted two oil refineries in Ufa, the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and Bashneft-Novoil plants, located roughly 1,500 kilometers from the front line. The strikes caused fires at the refineries' primary processing units, according to the SBU. Separately, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Poltavskaya oil depot in the Krasnodar region, about 300 kilometers from the front line, where a fire broke out on the night of June 24 to 25. Ufa is the capital of Bashkortostan, deep inside Russian territory and well beyond the immediate combat zone. President Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes and said they form part of Ukraine's long-range campaign, framed as a response to continued Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities. Russian authorities have not confirmed the extent of the damage at either site. The strikes follow earlier Ukrainian attacks on oil facilities in the Krasnodar region and Crimea reported on June 21.
