Ukraine Holds World's First All-Drone Military Parade
Ukraine marked its 35th Independence Day by replacing tanks and marching troops with unmanned ground, naval and aerial systems moving through Kyiv. Interceptor and strike drones flew overhead while naval drones that have hit Russia's Black Sea Fleet moved down the Dnipro River.
Ukraine replaced its Independence Day military parade with an all-drone display for the first time, sending unmanned ground vehicles down Kyiv's Khreshchatyk, interceptor and strike drones overhead, and naval drones including the Magura and Sea Baby families down the Dnipro River. It was Ukraine's first parade of any kind since the 2022 invasion, coming two years after Kyiv formally established the Unmanned Systems Forces as a dedicated military branch. Ukraine has said it aims to produce at least 50,000 ground combat and logistics robots this year.
