Iranian ballistic missiles hit Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan on July 17, killing two US service members, CENTCOM said. One service member is missing in action, four were medevaced to Jordanian hospitals and have since been discharged. Axios reports these are the first US combat deaths since fighting resumed, bringing US deaths in the war to sixteen. In response, CENTCOM carried out a seventh consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran, hitting surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage and maritime capabilities.
