Ukraine's depleted long-range missile stockpile is being resupplied through NATO ally Turkey rather than directly from Washington. The US State Department notified Congress of a million arms package: 70 M39 ATACMS ballistic missiles, 12 M270 multiple launch rocket systems, over 2,000 cluster rockets, and 47,000 artillery shells, logged in the Congressional Record on August 6. Congress has a two-week window to block the deal, but both chambers are in recess through that period. Deliveries are expected to begin in late August.
