The US military has quietly built a shipping corridor through the Strait of Hormuz, moving 15 to 20 tankers a night and pushing oil exports close to 10 million barrels a day, roughly half of pre-war levels, despite the ongoing war with Iran. Axios reports the corridor only became possible after a two-week US Central Command campaign degraded Iran's radar and maritime surveillance, leaving Iran largely unable to track shipping and reliant on scattered patrol boats. US forces shot down eight Iranian drones and two cruise missiles protecting the convoys this week alone. President Trump told Axios a tremendous amount of oil is now moving through the strait.
