Finland's defense forces confirmed Sweden will send Gripen fighter jets and a corvette warship to help watch over Finnish territory, an arrangement running at least through the end of 2026. Sweden's defense minister, Pal Jonson, says Swedish forces may also help repel violations of Finnish airspace, and Sweden may contribute ground-based anti-drone systems too. The deployment follows weeks of military drones straying into the airspace of Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Separately, Saab secured a 1.2 billion crown, roughly 126 million dollar order from Finland for portable RBS 70 NG air defense missiles.
