SpaceX launches NROL-172 spy satellites for NRO proliferated architecture from Vandenberg

SpaceX launched the classified NROL-172 mission for the National Reconnaissance Office on May 11, 2026. It's the 13th flight building the NRO's proliferated architecture: hundreds of small satellites to cut Earth revisit times from hours to minutes.
