A Russian Geran-2 attack drone launched at Ukraine crossed into Romanian airspace and crashed into a 10-story apartment building in Galati around 2 a.m. local time. The explosive payload detonated on impact, injuring a 53-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son in a tenth-floor flat. Seventy residents were evacuated. Romanian F-16s had scrambled from Fetesti just after 1 a.m. President Nicusor Dan convened the country's top defense council. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte vowed to defend every inch of Allied territory.
