Russian Double-Tap Drone Strike on Kryvyi Rih Shopping Mall Kills 15
A second Russian drone struck a shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, about 30 minutes after the first, hitting emergency responders on scene. At least 15 people are dead and more than 130 wounded, including 22 children.
Rescue workers in Kryvyi Rih, President Zelenskyy's hometown, were still pulling people from the rubble of a shopping mall on Friday when a second Russian drone struck the same building roughly 30 minutes later, a tactic known as a double-tap strike. At least 15 people were killed and more than 130 wounded, including 22 children, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said, with 29 victims in serious condition. Zelenskyy condemned the strike as deliberate and called it an act of terrorism. The strike happened during a night in which Ukraine's air force says it shot down or suppressed 107 of 135 Russian drones launched across the country.
