Russia launched one of its largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv of the war overnight on July 19. The Ukrainian air force says 41 missiles, including 25 ballistic, and 125 attack drones were fired at Ukraine, most aimed at the capital. One person was killed and 16 wounded, with fires in five Kyiv districts damaging homes, offices and a dormitory. Air defenses downed 18 missiles and 108 drones, including at least 17 ballistic missiles, after a major attack earlier this month in which none were intercepted.
