Pentagon signs multiyear deals to buy 28,000 low-cost cruise missiles

The Pentagon announced seven-year framework agreements with three companies to mass-produce affordable air-to-ground cruise missiles for the US Air Force under the Family of Affordable Mass Missiles (FAMM) program: Anduril's Barracuda, CoAspire's RAACM and Zone 5 Technologies' AGM-188 Rusty Dagger. Budget projections show plans to buy 28,000 missiles over the next five years at a cost of 12.6 billion dollars, with annual buys ramping from 1,000 in 2027 to 7,990 in 2031 and production reaching 8,000 missiles a year at full rate.
