Finnish smart-ring maker Oura Health filed confidentially for a US initial public offering on Thursday, May 21, the company confirmed. Oura is working with Goldman Sachs $GS, Morgan Stanley $MS, JPMorgan Chase $JPM, Allen and Company, and Jefferies $JEF on the deal, and plans to go public later this year. The number of shares and the price range have not yet been set. A confidential filing lets the company begin Securities and Exchange Commission review while keeping financial details out of public view until closer to launch. Founded in 2015, Oura has built one of the best-selling wearable health trackers, focused on sleep, recovery and fitness data, and competes with Fitbit, Garmin and Apple $AAPL on a different form factor. The company said at the time of its Series E last September that it had sold 5.5 million rings to date, up from 2.5 million a year earlier. Oura reported revenue above 500 million dollars in 2024, with reports pointing to roughly 1 billion dollars in 2025 sales as paid subscribers continue to grow. Sources: Bloomberg, CNBC, TechCrunch
