Nvidia $NVDA closed its fiscal second quarter, ended July 26, 2026, with record revenue of $96.2 billion, up 106% from a year earlier and 18% from the previous quarter, beating analyst estimates of roughly $92.2 billion. Net income rose 126% year over year to $59.7 billion. Data center revenue, the bulk of Nvidia's AI chip business, reached $89 billion, up 117% from a year ago, driven by continued demand for Blackwell-generation hardware from hyperscale cloud providers and enterprise customers. For the current quarter, Nvidia guided revenue toward $108 billion. In a rare move, the company also issued its first forecast for fiscal 2028, projecting annual sales growth of about 70%, well above the roughly 44% growth analysts had expected. CEO Jensen Huang said AI compute demand is accelerating and that AI workloads are increasingly generating direct revenue for customers. The results extend a run of consecutive quarters of triple-digit annual growth for the chipmaker, whose fortunes remain closely tied to global spending on AI infrastructure.
