Shares of all three rivals fell as investors weighed the new threat. Intel still holds around 70% of the market, but it is defending that lead from a weaker position after posting a $3.7 billion quarterly net loss on heavy restructuring charges. AMD has been gaining ground, with client revenue of $2.9 billion last quarter, up 26% from a year earlier. Qualcomm, like Nvidia, builds Arm-based chips for Windows machines and has spent years establishing its Snapdragon line. The stakes are clear in the numbers: Nvidia closed its fiscal 2026 with revenue of $215.9 billion, up 65%, while Intel's full-year 2025 revenue was $52.9 billion and roughly flat.
