A newly released visualization from NISAR, the joint US-Indian satellite mission, uses 17 radar images taken from December 2025 to August 2026. The sequence shows lava filling a smaller crater at Krasheninnikov on Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula before overflowing and spreading outward. It records the development of an eruption already underway, not a new eruption alert.
