Three days after part of a glacier collapsed high in the Himalayas and sent floodwater and debris through the Nepal-Tibet border region, Nepal's disaster authorities say the death toll there has risen to at least 538, according to AFP. Nepal's disaster management authority reports 977 people still missing, while Chinese state media report 558 missing in Tibet's Gyirong County. The Nepali army has pulled about 350 workers and residents out of a flooded hydropower tunnel at the Upper Trishuli-1 project in Rasuwa district, though officials say an unknown number more may still be trapped inside as the search continues.
