NASA astronaut and two Russian cosmonauts return to Earth after 241 days
NASA astronaut Chris Williams and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev undocked from the ISS after a 241-day mission, completing 3,856 orbits and more than 102 million miles, according to NASA.
NASA astronaut Chris Williams and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev wrapped up a 241-day mission aboard the International Space Station. Their Soyuz MS-28 capsule undocked from the Rassvet module early Sunday, July 26, targeting a parachute landing on the steppe of Kazakhstan near Dzhezkazgan. During the mission the crew completed 3,856 orbits of Earth and traveled more than 102 million miles. It was the first spaceflight for Williams and Mikaev, and the second for Kud-Sverchkov.
