Meta $META is launching paid subscriptions for its AI chatbot in a push to offset the cost of its artificial intelligence buildout. Bloomberg reports the company introduced two consumer tiers on May 27: Meta One Plus at $7.99 per month and Meta One Premium at $19.99 per month. The premium tier unlocks more compute capacity for deeper reasoning and expanded image and video generation across Meta's apps. Two business tiers, Meta One Essential at $14.99 per month and Meta One Advanced at $49.99 per month, add content tools, task automation and brand protection features. The $49.99 plan also includes human customer support for Instagram and Facebook pages. Initial testing is rolling out in Singapore, Guatemala and Bolivia.
