Juice completes Earth flyby on route to Jupiter

The September 28 gravity assist changed the spacecraft's course. Jupiter arrival is planned for 2031.

ESA's Juice spacecraft completed an Earth flyby on September 28, passing about 8,640 kilometres above the Indian Ocean. Earth's gravity changed its speed and course while conserving propellant for the mission to Jupiter. Juice is scheduled to arrive there in 2031 to study the planet and its icy moons.
