Iranian cyberattacks against Israel have roughly tripled over the past year, according to Israel's National Cyber Directorate. Its director general, Yossi Karadi, said authorities recorded about 4,800 hostile incidents this June, compared with around 1,600 in the same month a year earlier. The attacks targeted critical infrastructure, central institutions, midsize companies, and the public, with law practices and accounting firms among the smaller victims, some left with their systems erased. Karadi said critical infrastructure has so far been defended but warned there is no ceasefire in cyberspace. The surge tracks with the 2026 conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. The pattern shows how cyber pressure spreads through the wider economy even when the strongest national targets hold, as softer commercial targets become the path of least resistance.
