The Iran war has driven a sharp rise in U.S. missile interceptor use. THAAD fired: 200 from Feb-July 2026, vs 150 in all of 2025. SM-3: 130, up from 80 (2025) and 39 (2024). SM-6: 190 fired vs 150 last year. CSIS: about half of Patriot/THAAD stockpiles gone. Source: Statista.
