Apple $AAPL leads U.S. smartphone loyalty: 92% of users would choose it again, versus 86% for Samsung and 73% for Google $GOOGL. Survey: 1,248 users ages 18-64, Sep-Oct 2025. Source: Statista. https://www.statista.com/chart/36598/smartphone-brand-loyalty/
Brand loyalty remains a powerful competitive advantage in the U.S. smartphone market. Among Apple $AAPL users, 92% say they would choose the same brand for their next smartphone purchase. Samsung follows at 86%, while Google $GOOGL reaches 73%. Sony is close behind at 72%, followed by Motorola at 69%. The shares are lower for OnePlus at 58%, HTC at 56% and LG at 54%. The ranking shows how difficult it can be for challengers to persuade consumers to switch once they are established inside a device ecosystem. It also highlights that loyalty is not limited to the two largest brands: Google, Sony and Motorola all retain substantial majorities of their current users. The figures are based on 1,248 U.S. smartphone users ages 18-64 surveyed between September and October 2025. Respondents were asked whether they would use the same brand for their next smartphone purchase. The percentages describe stated purchase intentions, not completed purchases or overall U.S. market share. Source: Statista. https://www.statista.com/chart/36598/smartphone-brand-loyalty/
