Claude AI shared chat links appeared in Google and Brave search results

Hundreds of publicly shared Claude AI conversations turned up in search results this week, some exposing API keys, crypto wallet details and resumes. Anthropic has not commented publicly.

A Reddit user discovered that hundreds of publicly shared Claude AI conversation links were searchable through Google and Brave. Developers reported finding exposed API keys, cryptocurrency wallet details, resumes and internal company documents inside the indexed pages. Anthropic says shared chats are private by default and only public once a user creates a link; the company had not issued public comment at the time of reporting. Many affected pages had disappeared from Google search results by the weekend.
