Anthropic has raised $65 billion in fresh funding at a pre-money valuation of $900 billion, more than doubling the valuation it reached in a round closed three months earlier. Memory and storage makers Micron $MU, Samsung and SK Hynix joined as new investors alongside lead backers Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks and Sequoia Capital. Additional co-leads include Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital, Singapore's GIC, Iconiq and XN. The post-money figure lands at roughly $965 billion, pushing the Claude maker ahead of OpenAI's most recent valuation of about $850 billion. CFO Krishna Rao said the funding will help the company serve historic demand, as Anthropic continues to sign multi-billion-dollar compute deals with Amazon $AMZN, Google $GOOGL and SpaceX.
