Amazon $AMZN began selling its AI shopping technology to other retailers, expanding a familiar playbook of turning internal tools into AWS products. CNBC reports the new AWS Agentic Shopping Assistant is built on the same system that powers Alexa for Shopping on Amazon.com, formerly known as Rufus. Amazon says Rufus drove roughly $12 billion in incremental sales on its own site last year. Retailers can use the service to launch branded AI assistants tied to their own product catalogs, customer data and storefronts in as little as 60 days. Kate Spade, owned by Tapestry, is among the early customers, using the tool to run an AI gift concierge that engages shoppers about the occasion, recipient and style before recommending products. Accenture estimates more than 30 percent of online commerce could run through AI agents by 2030, representing about $3.1 trillion in transactions. Sources: CNBC, GeekWire, TechCrunch
