A Russian drone struck a train two kilometers from the Ukraine-Poland border and a truck near the crossing, minutes after a diplomatic delegation left the station. No injuries were reported. Per CNN, i24NEWS, and AP.
A Russian drone hit the locomotive of a passenger train at Yahodyn, Ukraine, about two kilometers from the border crossing into Poland, early Sunday morning. A separate drone strike destroyed a truck and hit a gas station less than one kilometer from the border. A diplomatic delegation that included former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt had left the Yahodyn station shortly before the strike; former CIA Director David Petraeus was reportedly still at the station when the drone hit. No injuries were reported on either the Ukrainian or Polish side. Ukrainian Railways said it is "quite likely" the drone deliberately targeted the diplomatic train. Ukraine's government said Russia fired more than two thousand drones at the country in the past week. Sources: CNN, i24NEWS, AP wire reports.
