320 Food Recalls Issues in the U.S. in 2025

The FDA and USDA issued 320 food recalls in the US in 2025, linked to 1,003 illnesses, 235 hospitalizations and 22 deaths, per a U.S. PIRG report charted by Statista. Undeclared allergens were the most common reason at about 39 percent. Listeria caused 21 of the 22 deaths.
